SWE @Google, Creator of Agent Sandbox SDK and Owner of the Authorization Layer for Agent Substrate
Shruti is a Software Engineer at Google, driving the technical design and developer experience for the Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) AI Agent Sandbox and Substrate. With over seven years across Google and Amazon, she has specialized in building resilient distributed systems, petabyte-scale data infrastructure, and high-density runtime environments that power enterprise cloud analytics and autonomous agentic AI at scale. Recognized as the core developer behind Google's open-source Agent Sandbox Python SDK—which has surpassed 3.5 million downloads worldwide—Shruti excels at navigating ambiguous problem spaces, optimizing compute efficiency, and abstracting cloud complexities to accelerate developer velocity. She holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, applying that foundation to massive-scale distributed infrastructure challenges.
Session-Tenant Compute & Sandbox Density with AX & Substrate
An agent's unit of work is not a stateless HTTP request. It is a session: long-running, stateful across both memory and the local filesystem, and idle 50% to 95% of its lifecycle while waiting on LLM token generation or a human approval click.
